A program offered by the BriarPatch Family Life Education Centre. H.E.A.R.T.S. is a Baby Loss Support Program for anyone who has been touched by the loss of a baby during pregnancy or anytime after birth. This unique program was started in 1996 to support families, their caregivers and professionals in the community. A second chapter was started in Red Deer for Central Alberta families. H.E.A.R.T.S. offers the following services: support group meetings, individual and family counselling, a resource lending library, care package for newly bereaved families, community workshops and presentations, annual candlelight memorial service, support for siblings (children & teens), support for grandparents, monthly newsletter, secondary program for subsequent pregnancies.

The PPDA project has two main goals: more Awareness & better Resources for postpartum depression and other postpartum mood disorders. January is Postpartum Depression Awareness Month! PPDA has a comprehensiveResource Website that lists most of the resources available in Edmonton and area for postpartum depression. A program designed to support, encourage and assist pregnant and parenting teens in Edmonton.  Our programs offer a powerful sense of belonging and opportunities to develop essential parenting and life skills including support for breastfeeding, discipline, budgeting, nutrition, cooking/baking and goal setting. Although Stepping Stones is currently not taking any new clients you can contact them if you would like to be a part of Stepping Stones. They will take some information from you and inform you when there is a spot available in the program.
