Infants and Toddlers Program

At Red Apple, we believe the early learning experiences have a significant effect on later life. Our Infant/Toddler room includes children between the ages of 12 – 35 months. In our toddler program, there is an emphasis on sensory-based activities because as we know, toddlers learn best by exploring while using their senses. Each child’s individual needs are met by flexible scheduling, including structured indoor and outdoor activities.

Developmentally appropriate activities help foster the growth of language development, social awareness, self-help skills, and positive non-aggressive problem solving in each child. At this age, we start to develop academic skills through an introduction to shapes, numbers, letters and colours by incorporating these concepts into the child’s play. Our educators plan various creative activities based on the interest of the child.

Your toddler will be welcomed into a stimulating and engaging environment where they are free to discover, play and imagine. Our educators work together in planning activities to meet the developmental needs of the children.

When it comes to potty training, we work closely with the parents to encourage the child when he/she starts to show interest and readiness. We strive to provide an environment in which the child feels familiar and loved.
