Our school-age students went to the T&T supermarket for a field trip today! The staff gave us a tour of the grocery store. We got to see live crabs, lobsters, the food prepare area, and so much more! This gave us the opportunity to learn something new of the grocery store in our very own neighborhood as well as some nutrition facts.

Showing the students that the grocery store could be an additional learning environment was a great way to connect our daycare and the community.  Maybe next time the students could talk more in-depth with the staff to discover what kind of jobs are needed to run a grocery store!
